Digital Technology has brought about a revolution in hearing aids and a wide variety of different solutions are available to you. Here at County Hearing Aid Centre we will discuss your exact needs and help you find the most beneficial instrument based on your requirements. We will never recommend something that does not meet with your exact requirements or expectations. See below for different variations of the latest digital hearing aids.
Completely In the Canal (CIC)
Out of our range of hearing aids this model is the smallest and is worn within the ear canal. Due to the position within the ear, this hearing aid is the least visible and is suitable for those who have mild to moderate hearing loss.
In the Canal (ITC)
The ITC fits comfortably within the ear canal despite being slightly larger than the CIC. However due to its design, this hearing aid is very cosmetically appealing. Suitable for those who have mild to moderately severe hearing loss.
In the Ear (ITE)
Suitable for a wide range of hearing loss due to its features, these hearing aids allow more amplification due to the size and position within the ear. By filling the bowl or concha of the ear, they are suitable for moderate to severe hearing loss.
Behind the Ear (BTE)
Customised to each individual via the soft tubing, these instruments fit comfortably behind the ear and are a popular choice for people of all ages.
Receiver in the Canal (RITC / RITE)
These instruments fit behind the ear and send the sound via a tiny wire into the receiver, which is placed directly in the ear canal. The amplified sound, which is produced by the receiver, provides exceptional clarity and enhances the high-pitched speech sounds with excellent sound quality. A soft earpiece holds the receiver in place without plugging the ear canal giving a natural sound and a comfortable fit. They are suitable for a mild to moderate high frequency hearing loss.
